Fluid Harmony - A Seaside Home Defined by Curves and Light
Located in Bel-Air Residences and spanning over 1,700 sq. ft., this home was reimagined around the concept of fluid lines and modern elegance, creating a home that balances functionality and beauty for a family of four. Inspired by the ocean views outside, the interior design adopts soft tones, curved forms, and ambient lighting that echo the natural flow of waves - bright, open, and full of rhythm. The result is a modern home design that feels refined yet effortlessly livable.
The original foyer lacked definition, with mixed flooring and wall materials creating a cluttered look. The interior redesign introduced a clearly defined entryway, combining smooth finishes and cohesive lighting to form a calm visual transition. Built-in cabinetry extends seamlessly into the living and dining area, providing ample storage while maintaining visual continuity. An open bench area was also added, making daily routines more comfortable.
In the living and dining room, contrasting grey and outdated wood tones were replaced with a unified palette of white, metal, and stone. Curved built-in cabinets now integrate display and piano areas, softening sharp edges and enhancing elegance. A pendant light above the dining table adds a refined focal point, while hidden corridor storage keeps the layout clean and cohesive.
Two original rooms were merged into a flexible family study lounge, separated by curved sliding doors that enhance flow and lightness. The space includes a sofa and TV for casual downtime, yet easily transforms into a shared entertainment area. Simple vertical panelling lends texture while maintaining a relaxed sophistication.
The master bedroom was reoriented for better feng shui, featuring a three-sided bed layout that improves movement and comfort. Curved joinery and upholstered panels evoke softness, while the ensuite continues the same palette with glass partitions, combining practicality with hotel-like luxury.
For the children’s rooms, both layouts were kept identical to ensure fairness - each customised with the kids’ favorite hues and artistic wall finishes. The thoughtful home interior design balances personality, harmony, and room for growth, creating a timeless family home that blends comfort with style.
